Using a Phony Diploma at Work!

A few years back, I had begun a great new job and one of the requirements of all employees was that we had our diplomas showcased at work. The company felt it was important because the diplomas, all framed up nicely, made the staff look more professional. I could never argue with that. Still, when it came time to get my old diploma, I realize that it was lost. After calling up my old school and struggling to get a replacement made, I found a solution in phony diplomas.

A few years after graduating college, I found myself working a bunch of dead-end jobs that were going nowhere. In fact, none of them really made a college education seem worth it. And so, I put my diploma away in a box... thinking I'd never need to use it again.

Of course, after a few interviews, I landed this great new job and that is where the whole phony diploma thing starts. As I walked around my first day, I noticed that everybody had their diploma hung up on their office wall and I asked my new boss about that. He said that the company requires everybody to hang their document up. At the time, I sort of remember where I put my old diploma and figured it wouldn't be a problem.

That night, I was wrong. I searched through boxes and boxes but couldn't find it. I then called up my old college who explained that a replacement would arrive in six to eight weeks! The company wanted a diploma by that Monday and it that wasn't going to work.

So, after telling my new boss about my situation, he suggested going online to a phony diploma shop which is what I did. I ordered a custom made document by giving them my school name and some dates. It was produced, packaged and shipped to me with a shiny gold seal.

Did anybody know that the Phony Diploma was a fake?

No. I had it professionally up and put in my new office. A few employees and clients, some of which were graduates of my same school had no idea that the document was not real. I was very pleased with the phony diploma that they had made.
